HDTV Review: Vizio's 47-Inch 1080p LCD

Vizio's new 47-inch 1080p HDTV is a "bargain" but trails similar-sized flat-panel sets in overall performance.

That's according to a review by CNET.com.

The technology web site says the LCD flat-panel set, which retails for around $1,899, is inexpensive for a 1080p LCD; delivers accurate primary colors; and offers "slick styling with touch-sensitive buttons."

However, it adds that the Vizio GV47LF HDTV "produces relatively light color of black (and the) grayscale (is) somewhat blue even after adjustment."

CNET gives the set a score of 6.6 out of a possible 10.

"Although its image quality still can't compete with the Plasma competition, the 1080p (set) is a fine bargain for folks who wants an LCD TV."
